One operation box behind the furnace Electrode lifting device is consisted of arm, column,clamp apparatus, lifting hydraulic cylinder,bracket and guide roller. The electrode arms are current conducting ones. The arms are water-cooled box structure. IT is make of copper-steel composite plate. Among these arms the side of front part of side arm and the front part of middle arm have equipped with clamp apparatus respectively. Electrode clamp adopts clip type of dish reed. The electrode is clipped by dish reed at operating time. The electrode releasing is finished while hydraulic cylinder compress the dish reed. Conductivity part is primary insulation to the earth. It means that insulated cloth plate is used to insulate horizontal arm and vertical pillar. The range of ±50mm can be regulated to the electrode distribution circle. Vertical pillar is a symmetry box piece welded by plate. It is installed vertically in the mechanism with guide roller. The guide roller nestles closely aside pillar. There is an electrode elevated hydraulic cylinder in the hollow pillar. The top of cylinder is connected to electrode pillar. The bottom is connected to bracket. Cylinder pushes the pillar to make the arm and electrode upward. Their descents depend on the dead weight. The connection of pillar and arm is through intermediate regulated plate. The connection face of arm and pillar is not only insulated face but also separated face. That makes arm regulating more convenient and the insulating of pillar and arm more reliable. Electrode clamp apparatus is consisted of electrode clip dish reed, connection rod, holding brake and hydraulic cylinder. The cylinder and dish reed use rod and brake to clip and release the electrode. When cylinder compresses the dish reed the electrode releasing is realized. Bracket is used to connect electrode elevate structure and cover lift and rotate structure. The rotate frame for cover lift and rotate mechanism bears the load of electrode elevate structure through bracket and bolt. The guide roller through the pillar works as a guide in the process of electrode elevating. In the process of furnace commissioning test, the pillar position is regulated by the guide rollerposition. Thus the diameter of electrode distributing circle also can be adjusted. High current line of arc furnace is consisted of connect copper bar at the end of furnace transformer secondary conductor, flexible copper, copper pipe through the wall, electric cable joint, water cooled cable, current conducting arm,electrode clamp, graphite electrode, etc. Water cooled cable to copper pipe and current conducting arm is connected by copper or stainless steel bolt.
Water passes through the copper pipe,water cooled cable and current conducting arm to cool down them. The pressure of hydraulic system is 12MPa, working medium is water-glycol . System is consisted of hydraulic source, various kinds of control valve, oil tank, high-pressure storage tank, compressor and pressure relay, etc. The hydraulic sources are two pumps. On the oil tank, there are temperature gauge and level control apparatus.
water-glycol goes through oil absorb filter, it is transmitted to high-pressure liquid storage tank by two high-pressure pump. One work. One stand by. The tank will provide whole system with pressurized oil. High-pressure pump will stop while the level of high-pressure tank reaches highest limit. High-pressure pump will start while the level falls down lowest limit. High-pressure liquid storage tank use 1-0.27/100type compressor to fill air. When the tank's pressure exceeds the setting value, safety valve on the top will open automaticallyto drop the pressure.
Water- cooling systemWater-cooling system is consisted of pressure meter, temperature meter, stop valve, water distributor, drain tank and pipe. The source of cooling water is from general feeding water pipe of workshop. The pressure is not smaller than 4×105Pa. Water temperature doesnot exceed 32ºC. The system has water pressure and temperature alarm. It will give out alarm signal when the pressure is lower than the setting value or the temperature is higher than the setting value. Water cool system is in the front of furnace and beside the transformer room. They connect furnace body cooling part through the pipe with (inclne hose). It cools the furnace body, roof, current conduction arm, water cooled cable and copper pipe through the wall.
